- Spring, summer, fall and winter. For each of Korea's distinct four seasons are various dishes that have been developed and savored throughout time. Samgyetang is a famous summer chicken dish. Traditionally, if a son-in-law visits his in-laws' house, samgyetang was served. It has long been considered the most nutritious dish among Koreans in the summer.
